Archive record

The Ember Guard protects what must remain capable of life, memory, and renewal when civilizations begin to collapse.

Its members preserve people, cultures, seeds, knowledge, ecosystems, technologies, and the remaining possibility of sovereign futures.

They hold no permanent alliance. They may stand beside the Ronin Monks, cooperate with the Kabal, or oppose either when their actions threaten what must survive.

The Ember Mandate defines their duty. The Praxis governs their means. The Ember Edict is invoked when ordinary limits can no longer preserve the flame.

Their greatest strength is carrying life across destruction. Their greatest danger is refusing to release what they have saved.

Born from the Burning of Seven Thousand Archives and tempered in the Furnace Trials, they named themselves after what survives the fire — their record is carried in the transmission below.

They do not serve the ashes. They carry the ember. And when the world demands an impossible choice, they decide what may still become fire.
