The Eyes of Trust preserve independent witness across the Khannara Existence.
They stand above operational councils in matters of evidence and record integrity, yet they do not rule, judge, or command the Eight Factions.
When official history is altered, memory is corrupted, or witnesses are erased, the Eyes examine what remains. Their Ossuary holds the bones of truth: testimony, contradiction, absence, scars, ruins, and records that power failed to destroy.
Their greatest strength is that truth may survive its witnesses. Their greatest danger is allowing protection to become concealment.
Known in older records as the Witnesses Eternal, the Eyes emerged during an age when deception nearly shattered reality itself — the period the archives call The Great Revision. Their founding purpose was not victory, not enlightenment, not conquest: verification.
The Eyes of Trust do not record Vael as neutral or unaligned — they witness her as an active power whose intent, influence, and position must be read with care.
They do not ask what history chose to remember. They ask what power tried to bury. When every voice is gone, they listen to the bones.
